GovGrant’s annual staff survey has been collated and from the 10 questions posed to the staff, there were some encouraging responses.
More than eight out of ten people (82%) who took part would recommend a friend or family member to work for the company.
In response to the question of work-life balance, the results were even more encouraging, with 85% saying the company is getting that balance about right; more than twice the 40% result of an employee benefits survey of UK businesses.
68% feel they have the opportunity to progress within company, and that they are valued at work this is again, a good result compared to a Deloitte insight survey benchmark of 60% for SMEs.
The survey was designed to gauge how employees feel about working at GovGrant, what’s working well, what could be improved, and how the business should be moving forward during a period of rapid change and growth.
“The fact that such a high percentage of staff would recommend GovGrant as a place to work is a fantastic and pretty personal vote of confidence in the business, especially since the Glassdoor benchmark for all companies is just 49%,” said CEO Luke Hamm.
“It’s also great that more than three quarters of respondents feel we have progressed positively as a business in the last 12 months – and that is thanks to all our teams staying focussed on our aims and delivering our strategy.”
Insight from the survey will now be used to help inform how GovGrant develops employee engagement and communication, supports high performance through leadership and development, and makes sure everyone has the tools they need to do their jobs.
“This is a time of change and growth for our organisation and we are committed to continuous investment in technology and processes, and in our employees, because a strong and motivated workforce is crucial to our success and will ensure our clients always experience the best possible service,” said Hamm.
