Accounting Partnership Innovation Consultant, Phil Steel works with our accountant partners to identify clients in their portfolio who could benefit from R&D tax relief and those where this is less likely. He helps accountants mitigate risk through a compliance first approach. All client referrals come to Phil, he leads the conversation on their qualifying R&D and is also able to maximise innovation opportunities through IP and Patent Box. He liaises with the accountant and the client to ensure seamless teamwork is continued throughout the claim journey, updating all parties on progress, while ensuring deadlines are tracked and delivered.
Staying ahead of changes in R&D to continually improve our service for accountants
Vicki Morrall, our Accounting Partner Director, builds on her own experience of running an R&D tax relief consultancy. She is ideally placed to understand the issues of offering R&D services and is driven to find solutions for fellow accountants. Vicki ensures that our team are armed with the correct tools and processes to deliver for accountants, both now and looking ahead with strategic insight into future changes in policy and HMRC regime.
